A teacher from Chongqing has come in for criticism on Chinese social media for the "special methods" she uses to "cure" autistic and mentally disabled students. He Xiaoyan says that the "aversion therapy" she uses lets children experience something that they hate or are afraid of, thus helping to control their negative behaviors.
